The Junior Software Developer contributes to a product team building reliable web applications. The role implements scoped features, fixes defects and writes automated tests under the guidance of senior engineers. The successful candidate can use JavaScript or TypeScript and Git, understands HTTP APIs and relational data, and communicates progress clearly during code review. The role is based in Windhoek within the Technology division.
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in software development, computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience building or maintaining web applications through coursework, an internship, open-source work or employment.
- Write readable code in JavaScript or TypeScript and use Git to collaborate on changes.
- Understand HTTP APIs, relational data, basic automated testing and secure handling of user input.
